Luna Agent is an autonomous cloud coding agent I built as a two-day take-home assignment for a startup and as a way to learn about and explore agent systems. Give it a task in natural language and it can inspect files, run commands, edit code, and work through multiple steps before returning a finished report.
Every task runs in its own Cloudflare Sandbox container and Durable Object, keeping execution isolated while preserving the message history, tool calls, and task state. Work streams into the interface in real time, and long-running tasks can be interrupted, reconnected to, or recovered after the underlying worker goes idle.
The product pairs a React interface with Cloudflare Workers, Containers, the Agents SDK, and the Vercel AI SDK. It turns the agent's reasoning, shell output, and file changes into a readable timeline so delegated work remains easy to follow rather than disappearing behind a loading screen.
